A delicious smoothie is something that we all need! It’s yummy, up to the cravings we have and of course, healthy, pure, unsweetened and chilling. This exotic smoothie recipe made from apple, banana, kiwi and low-fat dairy has to be in your favourite cookbooks, so that, whenever you crave, you could have a glass full of natural sweetness and nutrients at the same time.

Nutritional Values

Free from fat, sodium and cholesterol- apples are dense in antioxidants, dietary fibre, energy, vitamin C, and few of vitamin B including some important nutrients like vitamin K, potassium, magnesium, manganese and copper which are responsible for the long list of health benefits.

Elongated fruit- banana serves impressive nutritional content like protein, dietary fibre, potassium, vitamins, and minerals helping in relieving constipation, treating dysentery, tuberculosis, anaemia, arthritis, kidney and urinary disorders.

A Chinese gooseberry, kiwi is a tremendous natural source of vitamin C. Other vitamins like vitamin A, E, K and folate are also present in a very good portion. Minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium are beneficial for skin care, blood pressure, macular degeneration and diabetes. Whereas dairy products used in it such as low-fat milk and Yogurt are the richest source of calcium, vitamin D, protein and other vital nutrients like vitamins A, B12, riboflavin 1,

phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium.

Ingredients:

Apple – 1 small sized

Banana – ½ small sized

Kiwi – ½ a sized

Yoghurt – 50 gms

Low – Fat/ Skimmed Milk – 50 ml

Chia Seeds – ½ teaspoon, roasted

Ice – cubes – 3-4 pc

 Calories – 120 kcal

Method –

  • Collect all the required fruits to peel and cut them into small cubes and keep them aside.
  • In a blender, add apple, banana, and kiwi and blend on high speed for about 30 seconds or until smooth.
  • Now, add the low-fat milk and ice cubes to blend them together to have stiff consistency.
  • Pour into glasses and serve chilled
