Summer the time face the heat and sweat. It’s the season where one needs to take care and keep their body rehydrated and filled with nutrition. Let’s look at few tips to go ahead and keep ourselves fit this summer.
- Stay Hydrated: Human body is made up of 75% water, so it makes sense that this essential fluid must be continually replenished. Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning. Skip the sweet tea; bring fruit or herbal infusions to share at all of your summer festivities. Choose fruits with high water content like strawberries, watermelon and grapefruit.
- Enjoy fresh Veggies: Grab a friend and hit the farmers’ market to pick up the fresh produce of the season and keep your body filled with the season’s nutrients. Plan the meal based on your favorite seasonal produce.
- Get Active: Summertime is the perfect opportunity to get outside, sweat and have fun. Grab a workout buddy. When you commit to power walking, running or yoga together, you will keep each other on track and motivated. Find an activity you love, from swimming to tennis there is an activity waiting for you.
- Relax: Your mind and body experience stress daily, and its essential to kick back and relax on a regular basis. Spend time with people who lighten you up. Practice a mind/body activity like yoga or meditation. Get plenty of sleep.
Nutrition is not always related to food and dietary, but also mixing adding physical activities to your daily habits.
