And the best part is, wait for it… Well, these colourful smoothie parfaits can be made a night before without any hassle and make for excellent breakfast on the go. This nutrient-rich soothing smoothie helps you in healing indigestion and promotes gut health.

Nutritional Benefits

Yoghurt naturally has lots of probiotic cultures that strengthen your digestive tract. It may help to increase the good bacteria in your gut and keep it healthy. Fibres are more likely to survive longer in your gastrointestinal tract, and that’s good for a healthy gut.

Flax and pumpkin seeds are good sources of fibres, omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, calcium and iron and also improves gut health. Apple and plums are also rich in fibres which aid in improving gut health, banana restores the health of the bacterial community in GI tract, that’s why bananas are a standard prescription for an upset stomach. Bananas have high levels of potassium and magnesium, therefore, they reduce inflammation.


  • Almond milk- 50 ml
  • Flax seeds- ½ tsp
  • Pumpkin seeds- ½ tsp
  • Plain yogurt- 50 gm
  • Chopped pineapple- 10 grams
  • Banana – 1/2
  • Chopped apple- 10 grams
  • Chopped plums- 1

Course: Breakfast


  • Combine almond milk, 2 tablespoons of water in a bowl. Stir in flax and pumpkin seeds by the time it gets combined. Cover it and refrigerate until thickened.
  • Meanwhile, chop all the fruits and mix all together in a bowl.
  • Now start adding a layer of flax and pumpkin pudding, chopped fresh fruits and plain yogurt into a clear crystal glass.
  • Refrigerate it overnight and serve chilled the next morning.
