Food has a huge engagement among people nowadays. It’s being more and more processed, experimented, and commercialized with each passing day.

  • Food Fact 1: “Eating too much nutmeg has the effect of a hallucinogenic drug.”

Nutmeg is commonly available and used spice as an addition to the hot beverages. Eating too much nutmeg can result in the physical effects of a hallucinogenic drug. It can also cause out-of-body sensations, dizziness, nausea, and sluggish brain activity.

 

  • Food Fact 2: “Lemon contains more sugar than strawberry.”

Lemon has more content of sugar in comparison to strawberry. Lemon has 70% sugar and strawberry content of sugar is just 40%. Lemon tastes sour because it has a higher amount of citric acid, usually 3% to 6% that dominates the sweet taste of lemon.

Apples have a high amount of phytonutrients, vitamins, fiber and antioxidants which keeps the body going. Apples do not have caffeine but have 13 grams of sugar which provoke a similar response to caffeine because vitamins form apples are released slowly throughout the body which makes you feel more awake.

Dark chocolate was found to be higher in disease-fighting antioxidants than blueberries and pomegranate. Dark chocolates should be preferred over milk chocolates (moderation is the key) as diary variety contains added sugar and can reduce the health benefits.

Avocado is high in protein- 1 cup avocado contains about 4 grams of protein. Incorporating avocado in diet gives the benefits of the whole load of nutrients like carbs and aid protein synthesis.

Ginger is anti-inflammatory. Consumption of ginger can reduce muscle pain which is caused by exercise. Ginger can successfully reduce ¼th of the exercise-induced muscle pain.

Honey has the longest shelf life. The natural state of honey has low-moisture and very acidic, which defenses against food spoilage. The natural (organic) honey can stay fresh till thousand years.
