Ingredients

  • Black boiled channa- 20 grams

  • Grated coconut- 1 teaspoon

  • Shallots- 10 grams

  • Whole red chilli-1

  • Coriander seeds- ¼ Teaspoon

  • Sprigs curry leaves- 2-3

  • Coconut oil- 1 Teaspoon

  • Garlic- 3-4 cloves

  • Mustard seeds- ¼ teaspoon

  • Sliced onions- 20 grams

  • Red chilli powder- a pinch

  • Garam masala powder- ¼ teaspoon

  • Corinader Powder – ¼ Teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

Method

  • Sauté grated coconut including shallots, coriander seeds, red chilies, garlic and curry leaves in oil till they turn golden brown.
  • Now, grind all the sautéed ingredients.
  • Next, sauté mustard seeds and add sliced onions, coriander powder, chili powder, garam masala and ground ingredients to it and cook everything well.
  • Add boiled channa with followed water and let it cook properly.
  • Add salt to taste and serve kadala curry hot.
