Muesli can be a great option for breakfast and a great company to healthy almond or soy milk but packaged muesli that people often buy from markets are generally loaded with extra sugars which is totally unhealthy and unapt for consumption when you are leading a healthy lifestyle. In that case, you can prepare muesli at home and serve it with almond milk. Here’s what you need to do!
Oats are rich in fibre and carbs and also contain huge amounts of proteins. It contains many antioxidants and fibre called beta-glucan which promotes gut health and helps in reducing cholesterol. Barley contains soluble fibres which makes you feel fuller for longer and also helps in losing weight. Rye contains magnesium, phosphorus, B-vitamins and dietary fibres which promote weight loss. Almonds are high in vitamin E and antioxidants, apricots are rich in carotenoids which help in better eye vision and pumpkin seeds are rich in magnesium which helps regulate blood sugar levels. Almond milk contains vitamin E and calcium content and it also provides energy.
- 20 gm oats
- 20 gm barley flakes
- 20 gm Bran flakes
- 4 gm flaxseed
- 10 gm dried cranberries
- 10 gm dried apricots (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp roasted pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 medium sized fresh apple (sliced)
- Almond milk to serve (100 ml)

Proteins: 7.2 gm
Fats: 4.8 gm
Carbs: 45.8 gm
- Take a bowl and add oats, barley flakes, rye flakes and flaxseed. Mix well.
- Now, add dried cranberries and apricots making a second layer on top of the oats mixture.
- Add a third layer with almonds and pumpkin seeds and top it with slices of apple.
- Serve with almond milk.
