Get refreshed by having this luscious dessert after lunch or dinner. This bulky, milkshake kind of dessert gives us all of the health benefits. Thanks to the vibrant and nutritious ingredients that make the falooda look more attractive and irresistible.
The low in fat and cholesterol free fruits in this Indian delicacy are packed with Vitamins A, C, dietary fibre and potassium. Basil seeds contain soluble fibre, which promotes gut health, and control blood sugar levels.
- 15 grams Wheat vermicelli
- 40 grams mixed fruits, finely chopped (grapes, watermelon, mango and pomegranate)
- 1 teaspoon sweet basil
- 100 ml milk, boiled and cooled
- 1 teaspoon homemade rose syrup
- 1 teaspoon coconut sugar
- Nuts, pumpkin/sunflower seeds or cherries for garnish

- For rose syrup
- Boil 10-12 rose petals in about a cup of water and keep it on the flame till the quantity is reduced to half. Strain and keep aside. Your rose syrup is ready.
- Soak the sweet basil in 1½ cups of water for 10 to 15 minutes. Drain any excess water and put aside.
- Add coconut sugar to the milk and mix until sugar is dissolved completely. Place it in the refrigerator until chilled.
- Boil the vermicelli with enough water until soft and cooked. Rinse the cooked vermicelli with cold water and drain. Put it aside.
- Add a tablespoon of chopped fruits with homemade rose syrup to it.
- To the above mix, add soaked sweet basil, cooked vermicelli and chopped fruits.
- Pour of chilled milk over it.
- Garnish with nuts, pumpkin/sunflower seeds or chopped fruits/ cherries
- Serve chilled!
