Lassi is a popular, delicious probiotic treat from India. In this scorching hot summers, lassi can be one of the most popular refreshing ways to beat this heat. This curd- based drink is super healthy and very easy to make with aromatic spices and can be either sweet or savory. Here, we come up with the ever famous summer drink of India- lassi with jaggery, almonds, and pistachios to add an extra punch. I bet you will sip it down to the last drop.

Nutritional benefits – Jaggery is one of the best sugar substitutes that has many health benefits. It prevents constipation, acts as a detox, helps cleanse the liver by flushing out toxins from the body. Jaggery is full of antioxidants and minerals like zinc, selenium thereby preventing free-radicals. It also helps boost resistance against infections and build stronger immunity. Another main ingredient is curd which has various health benefits as it helps in digestion, is good for lowering blood pressure, moisturize skin, prevents vaginal infections, boosts immunity and makes bones stronger.

Preparation time– 15 -20 min


  • Curd- 200 gm
  • Cardamom- 1
  • Cinnamon- ½ tsp
  • Nutmeg- a pinch
  • Crushed Almonds- 2
  • Crushed pistachios- 2
  • Crushed palm jaggery- 2-3gm (as per taste)

Calories– 150-151 kcals


  •     In the blender add curd, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, and jaggery, you can add water to make it little thin.
  •     Blend it till you get a thick and smooth consistency.
  •   Garnish with crushed almonds and pistachios.
