Chickpea Roll

Ever thought of having pulse in the morning! As we all know that a good day starts with a nutritious breakfast being the most important meal of the day so here’s a ‘Chickpea wrap’- a combination of healthy ingredients which is not only healthy but also appealing and tasty.

Nutritional benefits:

This breakfast could be a healthy option for you as it contains ingredients like multigrain bread, chickpea, mushroom which are loaded with fibre, protein, minerals like iron, calcium, phosphorus, and also B group vitamins.

Ingredients for white Sauce

  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1 tablespoon of wheat flour
  • ½ teaspoon oil
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon oregano

Serving– 1

Calories– 140 kcals

Method –

  • Heat oil in a bottomed pan. Add whole wheat flour to the oil and roast it.
  • Add milk, black pepper, oregano and mix well. Make sure no lumps are formed.
  • Pour some water if required.
  • Serve it hot.

Ingredients for Filling

  • 1 slice of multigrain bread  
  • 2-4 chopped Mushrooms
  • One small Chopped Onion
  • 15g boiled Chickpeas
  • 10g sliced Red Capsicum
  • 10g sliced Green Capsicum
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • A sprig of Parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of Olive Oil

Serving– 1 piece

Calories-191 kcals


  • Pour olive oil in a saucepan, add all vegetables, Chickpea into it and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add Pepper, Salt, Parsley and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Take a slice of Bread & apply white sauce to it.
  • Put filling and make a roll.
