A meal or festival is incomplete without sweets, and this is why we have a Shivratri special, aloo ka halwa, just for you. The mashed potatoes are cooked with ghee and the authentic taste of nuts in this halwa are sure to make you salivate.

You Will Need:

  • Sweet potato-60g
  • Ghee-10g
  • Nuts (Almonds, cashews)-10g
  • Kesar, cinnamon – 1 tsp each
  • Honey or jaggery as per taste
  • Calories- 210kcal.

Method:

Grate some sweet potatoes and keep them aside. Now heat some ghee in a saucepan, and add the grated sweet potatoes along with nuts, Kesar, and cinnamon.

Mix it all well, and then add some honey or jaggery to sweeten it. Let everything cook for at least 30 minutes, or till it looks golden brown. Serve hot, with a cup of steaming chai.
