The Perfect Summer Cooler: Sattu

Sattu Cooler is a refreshing drink that has cooling properties and a great energy booster. Sattu powder made with roasted black chanas and is added to other condiments to make sattu dishes and drinks. It’s highly popular in bihar where street hawkers also sell sattu sharbats to help alleviate heat stroke and dehydration. The best part about this drink is that it helps you stay hydrated and energized throughout the day.
Sattu – Beverage
1 tablespoons Roasted Gram Flour (sattu)
4-5 Mint Leaves (Pudina) , finely chopped
2-3 Coriander leaves (dhaniya), finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon Roasted Cumin (Jeera) powder
1/2 teaspoon Black Salt (Kala Namak)
300 ml of water
Course: Mid afternoon
In a food processor, add the ingredients such as sattu flour, mint leaves, roasted cumin powder, and black salt.
Mix them well after adding normal or chilled water.
Stir until the drink has attained desired uniformity and is without any lumps. Opt for a spoon or a whisk.
Garnish the refreshing beverage with few chopped coriander leaves to add that extra punch to the drink.
